Are your looking for a job that will fill your heart and mind rather than just your wallet? Northwest Youth Corps is currently hiring field staff to lead teen-age conservation crews in our Youth Corps programs.
Crew leaders and assistant crew leaders live and work outdoors in some of the most beautiful and rugged natural areas of the Pacific Northwest. A job with NYC will challenge you physically, emotionally and mentally. You will grow, learn and laugh along with your crew; build solid muscles and lasting friendships. NYC is currently hiring to fill positions in our spring, summer and fall programs. We also offer a five week leadership training program for young adults interested in gaining the skills necessary to lead an NYC crew. Now, field staff positions are even more rewarding. This season, field staff can earn bonuses based on a perfect safety record, corpsmember completion, and completion of crew hours. Assistant Crew Leaders and Crew Leaders can earn up to $225 per session.

In addition, crews participate in an experiential-based environmental and life skills education curriculum. Weekends are spent participating in recreation outings and crew re-supply.
Program Coordinators are responsible for planning and coordinating all operational facets of their programs. Responsibilities include hiring, training, coordination, and supervision of field staff, solicitation and scheduling of projects, development and implementation of staff training programs, ongoing project management, and review, coordination and expansion of all program safety procedures.
