What is Northwest Youth Corps?
Northwest Youth Corps (NYC) is a region-wide nonprofit organization moving young people toward greater responsibility through the completion of challenging and meaningful education and work projects. A nationally recognized leader in the youth development field, NYC has served more than 10,000 youth since 1984. You can help a youth through your support of one of the following initiatives.
Travel Safe. Your support helps NYC purchase new buses to increase the size of each NYC crew, resulting in more youth able to be served in NYC’s program, and increase program safety. Download the Travel Safe fact sheet PDF (124 KB).
Tuition Assistance Endowment. Your support helps NYC award scholarships to youth who want to make a difference, improve their lives, learn new skills, and for whom NYC’s tuition fee presents a barrier to participation. Download the Tuition Assistance Endowment fact sheet PDF (129 KB).
Sponsor A Crew. Your support helps NYC provide ten teens with the highest quality field education and work experience for a five week period. Sponsorships start at $1,000, and help cover the cost of providing 1,500 hours of services. Download the Sponsor A Crew fact sheet PDF (139 KB).
Tools for Teens. Your support helps NYC double the number of crews (from two to four) and participants (from 20 to 40) who can benefit from NYC’s Backcountry Leadership Program (BLP) through the purchase of new tools. Download the Tools for Teens fact sheet PDF (138 KB).
YouthGrow. Your support helps youth learn about sustainable agriculture, while growing fresh, wholesome produce, through the operation of a garden stand, plant and produce sales, construction of a grow room for seeds and more! Download the YouthGrow fact sheet PDF (148 KB).

Planned Giving Program. Many donors find a planned giving program to be beneficial to them or their families. Through partnership with the Oregon Community Foundation, Northwest Youth Corps provides several plans to provide tax deferments and life-long incomes while benefiting youth development programs.
