What is Northwest Youth Corps?
Northwest Youth Corps (NYC) is a region-wide nonprofit organization moving young people toward greater responsibility through the completion of challenging and meaningful education and work projects. A nationally recognized leader in the youth development field, since 1984, NYC has provide more than 14,000 youth and young adults with education and skills they need for college, work, and citizenship. Help the “leaders of tomorrow” with your gift today.
Facility Renovations. Your support helps NYC expand our facility’s capacity to serve more youth, by reconfiguring our facility’s former library to improve; make ADA improvements at our front entrance; fund energy efficiency improvements, and allow NYC to develop new revenues, as we offer the facility as an affordable venue for community groups. Your gift, in any amount, brings us closer to our goals of becoming more accessible and more energy efficient, as well as helping NYC to qualify for a significant challenge grant we’ve been awarded by the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
Tuition Assistance Endowment. Your support helps NYC award scholarships to youth who want to make a difference, improve their lives, learn new skills, and for whom NYC’s tuition fee presents a barrier to participation. The Northwest Youth Corps Endowment is managed by the Oregon Community Foundation to ensure that your donations will have long-term value and will benefit youth for many years to come.
TravelSafe. Your support helps NYC replace our aging fleet with new buses to increase the safety and size of each NYC crew.
Sponsor-A-Crew. Those making an unrestricted gift of $1,000/year (or more) are honored as Sponsor-A-Crew donors, in recognition of your commitment to helping youth develop the skills they need to be successful in life, and be active, informed citizens in our communities.
